The Shack is an American restaurant at 102 Washington Beach Ave, Bremerton, WA 98337, with a bar and several practical features to consider when planning a visit. For anyone comparing dining locations in Bremerton, its group-friendly setup, LGBTQ+ friendliness, and outdoor dog policy offer useful details beyond the menu.
One feature that catches my attention is that The Shack accommodates groups. That makes it an option to consider for a meal with friends or a gathering where everyone wants to meet at the same restaurant. Group suitability is a helpful starting point, although it doesn’t establish how many people the space can accommodate. For a larger outing, seating arrangements are a detail to check when making plans.
The bar adds another element to the dining experience. If your plans include a meal and a drink, having both at one location may be convenient. However, specific beverages haven’t been provided, so there’s no basis for recommending a cocktail, beer, or wine. The same applies to the food: The Shack is listed as an American restaurant, but individual menu items aren’t specified.
The Shack is also LGBTQ+ friendly. That’s a meaningful detail for diners who consider inclusivity when choosing where to eat or meet friends. Alongside its suitability for groups, it gives prospective visitors something concrete to consider when reading restaurant reviews and deciding whether a location fits their plans.
For guests arriving by car, wheelchair-accessible parking is available. This is useful information to have before setting out, particularly when accessible parking is part of your visit planning. It describes the parking provision specifically; details about the entrance, restrooms, and seating haven’t been supplied.
Dog owners have another practical option: dogs are allowed outdoors at The Shack. If you’re planning an outing with your canine companion, that policy may help shape your choice of dining location. The permission applies to the outdoor area, so keep that distinction in mind when organizing a visit with friends, family, and your dog.

Wonderful place to wait for the ferry, especially on a pleasant weather day. Outdoor tables plentiful and nice views, incredibly we spotted what we believe was a gray whale surfacing while sipping our beers. Unsurprisingly, the indoor space is tight with few seats i.e. yep, it’s a shack. Three or four beers were on tap, all good. They have wine and some cocktails. Server was not outgoing, simply was efficient and pleasant, all good! Reasonable prices. We did not have time to sample food here.
Stopped by The Shack for a casual meal and it had that classic, laid-back local spot feel. Nothing fancy, just a comfortable place where you can grab good food and relax. I ordered a burger and fries, and everything came out hot, juicy, and well-seasoned. The fries were crispy and paired well with the meal. Portions were solid for the price, so it definitely felt like a good value. The staff were friendly and kept things moving even when it got a little busy. The atmosphere is simple and unpretentious, which honestly adds to the charm. Overall, it’s a dependable neighborhood spot for comfort food and a chill, easygoing experience.
Thank you very much for catching a vibe with me. You turned down your music and let me DJ for the waterfront. I had a snack and a couple drinks. Yuuuuuum! I am definitely going back for more treats. Thank you for such a great experience. Next time a deep house set for sure. Big ups, all love, let’s goooooooo! @djsidsidd988
Always love coming here whether during events, waiting for the ferry, or just on a nice day. Family friendly, great service, and always good selection. Can't beat the view and atmosphere!
Absolutely delightful, thank you for your hospitality and kindness. Beer was great and so was the bartender. I think he name was Shelia. She worked today about an hour ago and was wonderful!!
If you’re taking the ferry in the Bremerton and have an excursion in the shack is the classic place to hang out and have a northwest brew, cocktail and eats. The boardwalk garden looks over the marina with seagulls and water views. What’s your name?Stacy the owner has a housemate seafood chowder and soups yum.
Have a great Seattle or Chicago dog and a cold soda or Rainier at an outdoor table with the most beautiful harbor view! (And good tunes!) Very casual atmosphere, clean tables and chairs, quiet part of the Boardwalk (no sign of harbor birds near the tables, thank goodness). If you like watching water and boats, you'll love it.
